ADO · GUIDE · 7 MIN READ

Agile Analytics rollout in 7 days.

A practical sequence for engineering managers, PMO, and DevOps. Install Day 1; ship to leadership by end of Day 7. Skips the workshop theatre.

02

WHY

Why a 7-day plan.

Most analytics rollouts stall in week three because nobody owns the calibration step. By scoping to seven days you force decision-makers to commit early, which is when calibration is cheap.

This sequence assumes Agile Analytics for Azure DevOps. The same shape works for the Jira variant.

AVOID

Common mistakes.

Trying to onboard every team in week one. Pick the squad with the cleanest workflow and prove the pattern there. Roll out from a working example, not a slide deck.

Mixing team and executive dashboards. Team-level views are for unblocking. Executive views are for trade-offs. Same numbers, different framing.

Changing metric definitions mid-quarter. Lock cycle-time start/end states for the whole quarter. Re-calibrate at quarter boundaries only.
